Workers at Drax power station in Yorkshire are set to go on strike in dispute over pay, with Unite warning power cuts could be possible. Unite announced that more than 180 members working at Drax in Selby have rejected an 8% pay increase. Nine days of initial action have been announced with the strikes expected to close Drax down - though Drax say they have plans in place to stop power cuts happening and there is 'no threat'.
